Andre Nieri X Grand Discovery

Andre Nieri X Grand Discovery is a power collaboration between Brazilian guitar virtuoso Andre Nieri and a Finnish rock-jazz group, Grand Discovery launched in 2023. Combining Nieri’s blazing guitar work and the progressive jazz mayhem of Grand Discovery, the group is making a strong statement in the modern instrumental music scene. Since the founding in 2023, the group has toured in Italy, Finland and Estonia and they are currently writing a new album.
Andre Nieri is a guitar player, composer and instructor who has amazed the guitar audiences worldwide with his stunning finger picking technique. In 2014 Andre won the international Guitar Idol -competition and his first solo EP entitled ‘Two Tone Live Sessions’ was recorded in 2016. Andre has been featured on many guitar magazines such as Total Guitar (UK), Fusion Guitar Book (Japan), Guitar Interactive (UK), Guitar Load (Brazil), Axe Magazine (Italy).

Grand Discovery is an energetic and dynamic jazz-rock trio masterminded by keyboardist Panu-Pekka Rauhala and his brother, drummer Tuomas Rauhala. After gaining some underground success in their early years, Grand Discovery made a comeback with their album PROCEED, released in November 2021. Since then, they have continued to release singles, even reaching major jazz playlists on Spotify with a million followers. The band’s line-up also includes rising bass talent AP Kauppinen.
