35 Jahre Reigenlive Festival

In late 2022, London 11-piece Levitation Orchestra took to the legendary Livingston Studios in London to record their third body of work. Featured on festival mainstages like We Out Here and Brainchild, and sellout headlines across the country, this suite of music marks a new departure for the band’s compositional world-building and sound design. After the exploration of childhood, lineage and loss on 2021’s ‚Illusions & Realities,‘ this next suite embodies the journey of overcoming and healing, and the place of peace that we each find at the end of every struggle – Sanctuary.

The multiplicity of sanctuaries available to us, that is what we explored.”

Founded in 2018 by trumpeter & musical director Axel Kaner-Lidstrom, Levitation Orchestra was formed with the shared goal to create original suites of music completely collectively. An 11 piece ensemble spanning Jazz and beyond, their captivating compositions come to life in the band’s explosive live performances and their acclaimed studio releases. Levitation Orchestra’s other members include Plumm, XVNGO, James Akers, Maria Osu, Yuis, Eriksson Kaner, Mackwood, Paris Raine, Hamish Nockles-Moore and Emma Barnaby. All world-class musicians in their own right, they share credits for the likes of Celeste, Col3trane, Joe Armon-Jones, Laura Misch, Soweto Kinch and the legendary Gary Bartz.
