35 Jahre Reigenlive Festival
Born in 1984 in Istanbul to painter parents, Sanat Deliorman studied translation and graphic design at university. She sang as a contralto in the A Capella Boğaziçi jazz choir for two years and translated Janos Sipos‘ book „In the Wake of Bela Bartok in Anatolia“ into Turkish, published in 2009. For over 15 years, she worked as an editor, and music critic for various institutions and festivals. Besides worked as a voice over artist for globally known brands. After taking jazz vocal lessons from reknown jazz singers in Turkey and visiting teachers from America, she won a number of jazz competitions in 2011 and 2012.
Soon after, she formed her jazz group „Sanat Deliorman and Her Jazz Bros“, tailoring concept jazz projects like Polish and Swedish jazz projects. Adapted jazz and pop songs into Turkish using her theatrical style, also writing Turkish tangos and waltzes. Held concerts in Balkan countries, Also she has been hosting the radio show „World’s Jazz“, supporting Turkish and international jazz musicians. Today Sanat gives private vocal lessons and acts as a mentor for jazz and pop singers living in Turkey.
Her discography includes a single, an EP, and her debut album „Aşk Kumbarası“ (Love Bank) released in 2022. In 2023, she released several singles, including „Seslendim Sana“ (Called Out to You), „Devam Et“ (Go Ahead), and „Yürüyen Merdivenler“ (Escalators).
Now she comes to Reigen to share with the Viennese audience, a night of jazz standards and Turkish originals and adaptations.
